I stayed at Caserio da Castiñeira for three weeks and it was one of the best experiences I've had in many years. Manolo is an incredible host - he'll make hiking maps for you for every day of the year! Carmen's vegan dishes are probably the top 10 in the country if not in Europe. The cabin was incredibly comfortable, there are services (stores, markets, etc.) just a few curves away, animals are very welcome, and there is a general peace about the place that is not easy to find anymore.
Many times owners will take pictures of their properties, making them look better than they are. In this case, the place is just as beautiful as the photos make them appear to be.
I highly recommend a stay there even if just for a few days.
